14-16 April 2011
Uncle Sim and Aunt Lena visited us last weekend. It was their second visit toKuching after so many years. After we had our lunch at After Three, we planned to bring them to Fort Margherita. Though we can see the FortMargherita easily at the waterfront, it took us about one and a half hours to find its exact location. Drive in and out for several times before we finally reached there.

After that, we then went for ice-kacang near Jubilee Ground and dinner at Pending seafood centre.
The next day, we visited the The Pitcher Plant & Wild Orchid Garden at Kota Padawan. You can find varieties of pitcher plants and wild orchids there but I don't think I will go back to that place again as I donated a lot of blood to the mosquitoes there.
At night, we had dinner at Golden Court Restaurant that is located at Rock Road. This restaurant is famous for its crab. They have crabs that are cooked in 21 varieties. After dinner, dad sent Uncle Sim and Aunt Lena who is very interested in politics to Stutong wet market for the grand finale talk as Sarawak election 2011 is on the next day.
Saturday, which was the election day, was their last day in Kuching. We had Sarawak laksa at Golden Arch for breakfast and crab again for lunch before sending them to airport. I do hope they enjoyed their 3 days 2 nights trip to Kuching.
